Hello! 

November is always a turning point here in Sweden. The light disappears quickly, the days get colder, and work tends to speed up as we move toward year-end. This time, Ignite added even more to the mix. 

If you want the big picture, start with the official Ignite 2025 Book of News, the Intune summary in What’s new in Microsoft Intune at Ignite, and the Windows perspective in Windows at the frontier of work. The broader direction around Copilot, agents, and “frontier work” is captured in the main Ignite 2025 overview and the Agent 365 announcement. 

In this edition, I’ve focused on what these announcements actually mean for us working with Intune, ConfigMgr, Windows, and Windows 365 day-to-day.

Ignite highlights

Intune 

  • Change Review Agent in Intune 
    A new AI-powered Change Review Agent analyzes each change you make in Intune—apps, policies, and configuration—looking for risks, conflicts, and compliance issues before they hit production. It gives recommendations so you can move faster without guessing. 
  • Deeper Copilot + Intune integration 
    Copilot now works directly with Intune data to help you explore devices, policies, compliance, and app state in natural language. Combined with Intune’s Explorer experience, it becomes much easier to build custom views without scripting. 
  • Intune scaling with agents 
    Ignite made it clear that Intune is moving toward an agent-driven model: using AI agents to help with investigations, migration guidance, and repetitive admin tasks so you can focus on design and governance instead of constant firefighting. 
  • New analytics views for Windows and Windows 365 devices, focusing on performance, reliability, and user experience. 
  • More detailed app deployment reporting, making it easier to troubleshoot deployment chains, dependencies, and failures. 

ConfigMgr 

  • Improved Tenant Attach performance and reliability, making it easier to take advantage of cloud-based insights while still running ConfigMgr on-prem. 
  • Better integration with Microsoft 365 admin center reporting, closing the gap between traditional endpoint management and the cloud portals you use daily. 
  • Microsoft reaffirmed the annual servicing cadence and long-term commitment to ConfigMgr as part of the broader endpoint management story. 

Windows 

  • Windows & Windows 365 for agents 
    Windows is positioning itself as a canvas for AI and agents, with Ask Copilot and agents pinned to the taskbar, and scenarios where Cloud PCs host agents that run continuously in the background. This is especially interesting for automation-heavy environments. Windows is increasingly the front-end for AI and agents, making assistance part of the normal desktop experience rather than another separate app. 
  • Updates & orchestration 
  • Smarter update orchestration, leveraging device activity and power state so updates land at better times. 
  • Clearer reporting through Windows Update for Business Reports. 
  • Early previews of AI-driven helpers in Windows to support configuration, troubleshooting, and user support scenarios. 
  • Cloud PCs and networking 
  • Cloud PCs for agents and AI-heavy work: Windows 365 is highlighted as a strong host for agents that need an “always-on” workplace context, especially for automation and continuous processing tasks. 
  • Networking improvements such as multi-path networking and future regional host pools to improve resilience and reduce regional dependency for larger deployments. 
  • Better alignment with Intune data and diagnostics, setting the stage for more Copilot-driven insights about Cloud PC health and usage. 

Other 

  • Agent 365 as the control plane 
    Agent 365 treats AI agents as first-class citizens in Microsoft 365: they get identities, permissions, policies, logging, and lifecycle management. This is where governance, security, and compliance agents will live. 
  • Copilot and agents across Microsoft 365 
    Word, Excel, and PowerPoint now have dedicated agents that work through Copilot Chat, making it easier to automate documentation, reporting, and communication around your endpoint to work.
