Introduction

Hello!

I spent some time this week watching a lot of great sessions at the Modern Endpoint Management Summit 2022. Thanks to everyone in the community that made the event possible! The recordings are available in the Auditorium if you log in or register here: Modern Endpoint Management Summit 2022 (vfairs.com).

This week, there has been a lot of new content, with the major one being the release of Configuration Manager 2203.

My favorite features for this release include:

  • Visualize content distribution status
  • Deprecated and unsupported features added to management insights
  • Run scripts from the deployment status view
  • Delete collection references
  • LEDBAT support for Software Update Points
  • Pre-download content for available software updates
  • Customize maximum run time for other software update types
  • Added folder support for nodes in the Software Library
  • Escrow BitLocker recovery password to the site during a task sequence
  • Custom icon support for task sequences and packages
  • Dark theme for the console
  • Task sequence debugger is now a production release
