Spring has finally sprung here, and I’m enjoying the shift in the weather!

This week, we have the new release of Configuration Manager, version 2403, which brings several significant updates:

  • Microsoft Entra ID: The rebranding of Microsoft Azure Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID in Configuration Manager.
  • New Features in Console: Introducing an automated diagnostic dashboard for software update issues, a centralized search box for more straightforward navigation, and improved script folder organization.
  • Communication Security Enhancements: Strengthened security with a mandate for HTTPS or Enhanced HTTP for client communications, phasing out HTTP-only support.
  • OS Deployment for ARM 64 Devices: Enhanced support for deploying Windows 11 on ARM 64 devices and various task sequence improvements.
  • Deprecated and Blocked Features: Ending Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 support for site roles and blocking upgrades if classic CMG V1 is running. Additionally, System Center Update Publisher (SCUP) support is set to end in January 2024.

Next week promises excellent weather here in Sweden, and I look forward to enjoying a beer outdoors.
